Peter Hunt trained as an architect at Nottingham University and became a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in 1980.
Initially in general private practice in a large commercial firm he transferred to a smaller firm specializing in high quality 5* hotel work throughout the country mainly for large hotel operators. This work involved involvement of all aspects of the project from architectural and interior design to project management including contract administration and organization of suppliers.
Peter Hunt Architects was set up 1989. Works involved mainly general commercial projects, sports and leisure, conservation and housing.
With an increasing requirement to appreciate the issues relating to conservation , Peter embarked on a course at Oxford Brookes University graduating in 2007 with MSc. in Historic Conservation. He is included on the RIBA Register of Conservation Architects
The practice is committed to ecologically friendly and sustainable design both in procurement and use of materials and also with incorporation of services.
